BLOG TOUR: One to Keep – Tia Louise + Review, giveaway & teasers!

Released: January 16th, 2014

WARNING: Mature themes, strong language and sexual content. Recommended for adult readers (18+) only!

There’s a new guy in town...

“Patrick Knight, single, retired Guard-turned private investigator. I was a closer. A deal maker. I looked clients in the eye and told them I’d get their shit done. And I did...”

Patrick doesn’t do “nice.”
At least, not anymore.

After his fiancée cheats, he follows up with a one-night stand and a disastrous office hook-up. His business partner (Derek Alexander) sends him to the desert to get his head straight—and clean up the mess.

While there, Patrick meets Elaine, and blistering sparks fly, but she’s not looking for any guy. Or a long-distance relationship.

Patrick’s ready to do anything to keep her, but just when it seems he’s changed her mind, the skeletons from his past life start coming back.

"Everything that was wrong with me, all the pieces that were broken or that I tried to force into the wrong spots were fixed. Your smile, your touch… everything about you made me want to be a better person."

I devoured this book at top speed. Although One to Hold definitely interested me more, I loved the storyline in this one with all of Patrick's complications and Elaine's insecurities. But the characters and story (not to mention, the sex) were all so wonderfully written that it hooked me in from the beginning.

Okay, I have to admit this. I definitely loved One to Hold much more. Derek and Mel's story was more exciting and the plot twist was definitely surprising. Derek's character, all sexy and broody, made me wet my pants. He was smoking hot and this rich, successful man. I loved Patrick's character deeply with all his wrong choices, sweet charm and, well, his background.

The chemistry between Patrick and Elaine was off the charts! At first, because I forgot what the blurb was, I thought Patrick was going to end up with Kenny (whom I definitely love because of her character). But then he ended up with Elaine and I'm definitely okay with that too. They were just too sweet!

Patrick Knight is a character who's been through so much. After finding her ex-fiancé in a… compromising position with 24B *cough* Anyway, moving on. That was the day that Patrick decided that he shouldn't really give a fuck anymore. Then he also meets Kenny who was already planning to move away. After that, he fucks the temporary receptionist who was a little bit… crazy.

Man, oh man, I felt so bad for this guy.

That's why when Elaine, sweet, sweet Elaine, came along, I was so happy. HELL YES! He was finally going to get his happily ever after and he did with her.

But, of course, nobody ever has the perfect love story. They went through little bumps and cracks along the road, some bigger than others, but they made it through. Because they were in love. *swoons*

Wonderful read! The author's writing style has always been one of my favorites so give it a try ;)

Tia Louise is a former journalist, world-traveler, and collector of beautiful men (who inspire all of her stories... wink)—turned wife, mommy, and novelist.

She lives in the center of the U.S.A. with her lovely family and one grumpy cat. There, she dreams up stories she hopes are engaging, hot, and sexy, and that cause readers rethink common public locations…

It’s possible she has a slight truffle addiction.
