REVIEW: The Ex Games Pt. 2 & 3 – J.S. Cooper & Helen Cooper

The Ex Games Pt. 2

Released: December 30th, 2013

The Ex Games, Part II

Seven years ago, Brandon Hastings and Katie Raymond had a relationship that other couples envied. They loved each other more than anything, but one lie ruined their relationship forever.

Now, Brandon is the CEO of the company that Katie works for and she is finding it hard to be around him without wanting to touch him and be touched by him. Katie gives in to one moment of weakness with Brandon, and he reveals a secret that breaks her heart once again.

Katie is determined that she will not let Brandon break her again and they go back in forth in a mouse and cat game that has them both wondering what's really going on. Just when Katie thinks she can take no more, one more secret is revealed that will make her question everything she ever thought she knew about Brandon Hastings.

This is Part II in a three part serial. Mature content. Recommended for 17+ due to mature language and adult situations.

The Ex Games Pt. 3

Released: December 25th, 2013

The stunning conclusion to The Ex Games novella serial is here!

What other secret is Brandon hiding?

Seven years ago, Katie Raymond made a mistake that cost her the love of her life. Now, Brandon Hastings is back in her life and it seems like he is determined to make her pay for her previous mistakes.

When Katie overhears a private conversation, she has no idea just how deep the secrets go. She gives, Brandon one last chance to prove his love to her, but when he violates her trust one last time, she doesn't think she can ever forgive him.

But then, Brandon tells her the one thing that is guaranteed to turn her world upside down and she's not sure if her life will ever be the same again.
"And our relationship was perfect. You were perfect for me. I was perfect for you. We were perfect for each other. I knew that in my heart."

Since these two are super short novellas, I'm combining the reviews for the last two.

Pt. II
This part was slightly more disappointing than the first one. I was definitely excited about finding out more on their past but then it wasn't the memorable kind of story.

The hero was still kind of a douchebag and the heroine more annoying here. But their connection was undeniable and that was what probably saved the story.
"Katie, I know something is wrong. I can see it in your eyes. Tell me what's wrong?"
But Brandon also has his sweet moments ;)

Pt. III
Now this part was just frustrating as hell. I was so disappointed with the ending despite it being most suspenseful towards the end but GOOOOD. The heroine, can you just not. Brandon was more okay in this book even though of course, he was practically bipolar. But Katie, oh my God.
"I'm done, you hear? I'm done. I can't take this anymore, Brandon."
Oh sure. That's what you said for the last 230482304th time when you left him. She keeps saying that she's done but yet she keeps getting yanked back to him. Sure, it's because they have a strong chemistry bla bla bla but come on, woman, don't you have some dignity? Get a fucking grip.

Brandon probably was the one that saved this book.

MY RATING:
3 APPLES!!!!!

REVIEW: The Ex Games (The Ex Games #1) – J.S. Cooper & Helen Cooper

Released: December 25th, 2013

This is part one of a three part erotic romance novella series.

***Warning Sexual Content***
Handsome billionaire, Brandon Hastings was Katie Raymond's first love. They had a whirlwind romance that captivated her heart and took her on a sexual journey she never wanted to end. Their future together looked bright until Brandon found out that Katie was keeping a huge secret from him. Once he realized the truth, he broke her heart and she never saw him again.

Seven years later, Katie has finally moved on and accepts the position of her dreams at Marathon Corporation as an executive manager. The only problem is, Brandon Hastings bought the business a month after she started working there.

Now Katie has to fly to San Francisco to attend a company-wide orientation and she is scared that Brandon is going to fire her on sight. Little does she know that Brandon has lot more planned for her and this time he's the one keeping a secret.

This is part one of a three part erotic romance novella series. Part two will be released on January 2nd and part three will be released on January 9th.
"I did love you and you were supposed to love me. You were supposed to forgive me."

A super short novella that's super steamy. I loved the sex. I loved the chemistry. I loved that little cliffy that left us hanging in the end. I loved the structure of the book. The perfect start to a series! I can't wait for more.

This book actually started out pretty well. Katie is this strong, independent woman who made a huge mistake back in her freshmen years. Well, now she's paying the price.

I was caught by surprise when I found out about the "secret" and how big an impact it left on them. And wow, I was just… wow.

Anyways, so it's a pretty short book so I don't have much to say about it.

But I really did enjoy it for the most part! ;)
