Losing it all…is a new beginning
Amanda Legend grew up rich and privileged. Anything was hers for the asking, thanks to her superstar father. That is until Amanda’s honesty about bad behavior from her soon-to-be-new Step Mom, a former school chum, lands Amanda on the outs with her beloved father. No Trust fund. No rarified world. Even if Amanda never wanted the LA lifestyle, she now must survive on her own.
A come-back takes heart....
Ryan Sinclair was nearing the pinnacle of his movie career when he drove his Porsche off Malibu Canyon Road. Lucky to be alive, post rehab he's ready to start the long climb back to the top. But to prove to Hollywood that he won't relapse, he's required to get a sober companion.
A job she never wanted with the man who helped destroy her life...
Amanda Legend may loathe the entertainment world, but she understands the rules. She also knows Ryan Sinclair, understands alcoholics (she grew up around a few) and now, after being banished from her posh lifestyle, needs a paycheck to get to New York. Amanda accepts the job as sober companion to Ryan Sinclair for his first film post rehab. But Amanda must learn to ignore her attraction to Ryan, because falling for a guy like him would pull her back into a world she desperately wants to escape.

*COPY PROVIDED BY AUTHOR FOR AN HONEST REVIEW*
Filled with scenes for angst-cravers like me, flooded with love and chemistry between characters, had fantastically developed characters, this novel absolutely blew me away. The novel expresses the toughness and impersonality of Hollywood and how it affects relationships, especially a connection between Hollywood's favorite Ice Princess and the drunk actor who just ran himself over a cliff. This novel explored the bond between the two and how love can form in the worst and miserable times.
Wow. Just wow. I liked this better than the first one (which the review I will be posting on SATURDAY, 7 JUNE). This one was so much better in terms of how the character changes and matures and also in terms of plot and connection.
Amanda is spoiled but she isn't self-absorbed or crazy about the Hollywood life. On the other hand, she hates it. She's always come in second to the entertainment industry, especially to her father whom she loves dearly.
In the novel, Amanda's "trust fund" was cut off and she had nowhere to go. It's her first time living in the real world – well, if you count the real world living glamorously with her best friend who's marrying the next Tom Cruise – and actually working for what she wants.
God, I absolutely adored Amanda's character. I was completely smitten with her. She was so strong yet so vulnerable. She was intelligent in terms of survival in the entertainment industry. And I love her little outbursts. So cute!
The relationship also developed slowly and smoothly. We actually see them getting along first before jumping into sex so that's a very good part of the novel.

He was very far away. I missed him. I even missed Daddy. Just because he had foul taste in wives, my mom excluded, didn't mean I didn't still love him.And yes he has goddamn horrible taste in women. Like what the fuck? Kiley Kepner is a fucking whore and a crazy-ass bitch.

Then we have Ryan who's having a difficult time landing roles due to the bad press. Well, he did drive off a cliff out of his head so. But Ryan was working on a tough path of sobriety, especially since he's been drunk for as long as he can remember. But now, it's only his sobriety that's his problem, but also the fantastic Amanda Legend who is not what he expected at all.
And boy does Ryan have a dirty mouth on him
"You're tight and you're wet and you're mine. Do you understand, Amanda, you are fucking mine. I don't want anyone or anything else."YEEES!!! Fantastic!

MY RATING:
4.5 APPLES!!!!!
