Guess what? I had been planning to just rush into this book and finish it since my review was due on the 25th but boy, am I ever glad that I took my time reading this book, even if I actually finished it in a few hours. I started before school and then continued reading after school. Shit, man, I'm a blubbering mess writing this review.

Remembering Joy taught me about the meaning of forgiveness and having to move on from the past and trudge on forward. The story was not only compelling but it touched my heart (as horribly cliché as that sounds) and struck me deep. It was beautiful, hilarious and painfully saddening.

I am so freaking glad that I decided to join this book tour. THIS IS THE FIRST BOOK I READ DURING A BOOK TOUR THAT I'VE EVER GIVEN A 5 STAR TO!!! Yes, I am definitely happy with this book. More than happy actually.

The story takes off with Adam seeing Allie for the first time in years and this memory of his hits him like a ton of bricks. He's swept away with revenge and his scheme to get back at her for what she did in the past. SHIT! That was like the moment I thought, "Yes! Yes! Yes! He's going to freaking mess up at one point!"

But hot damn, by the end of the book, I take it back. I want to take it all back because I was on the floor. On my side. Crying my eyes out. My sister told me I looked like an idiot like that. But, since I was enjoying a fantastic book, I merely flipped her off and moved on.

Let's officially start this review with Allie (Alexis), shall we?

Allie is one of my favorite heroines now. I know it may seem like I label a lot of the female characters in books as favorites but I can't help it. Some of them are just so alluring and unbelievably charming that I fall for them.

So, Allie has been carrying this guilt around for so long, and she feels like she doesn't deserve a relationship, a real one at least.

"I'm a dead end, Adam." And at that moment, that was exactly how I felt inside… a dead end.

I can't help but sympathize for her character because she has all these nightmares and, of course, the burden inside of her, yet she has to be strong everyday to carry on.

This is me right now:

I just really don't know what to do with my life now. This book was so heart-breaking in so many ways in the end despite the extremely happy and exciting scenes in the beginning.

But the best part? Adam made her better. Happier.

"When I was with him, I wasn't all wrapped up in the past that I'd let dictate my future for so long. It was nice to just enjoy the present. I knew better than to think that there was a fairytale happily ever after in store for me, but it was nice to not feel like an emotional abyss."

Then there's Adam who you just have to sympathize for too, in spite of the fact that he had douchey intentions.

But, not only is he super hot,

"Each muscle in his chest and abdomen was marvelously defined, but there was nothing bulky about him. He was perfectly lean."

(TOTALLY MY TYPE OF GUY!) but he is also super shmexily sweet

As I leaned down to kiss her, I looked over her head at the guy paying too much attention to my girl, and I raised my eyebrows at him. Then I flicked my tongue in her mouth and flipped him off for good measure.

Hot damn, baby, hot damn.

BUT! By the end of the book, this would show Adam:

FFFFFUUUU, this book was just so brilliant, I fell in love with it over and over again.

Minor Faults:

• The dream was repeated too many times, even if it was to create suspense, it was just too much.

This is definitely one of the sexiest erotica I've come across this year. Then again, I haven't come across many eroticas. Okay, moving on.

Kitty French's writing style plus the super sexy characters left me unblinking. It was filthy, filled with sex in almost every chapter. And I loved every bit of it. The book was undeniably sexy and I couldn't put it down (especially in the sex scenes).

Let's launch this review off with Sophie first.

Basic 5W's and 1H of Sophie: She's a married woman with a boring life with a cheating husband, yadda yadda yadda. Her life is extremely dull and vanilla until she decides to make a change by applying as Lucien's PA. Then her life went into a turmoil.

But Sophie wasn't as vanilla as she thought she was.

"The girl was eighty percent kitten and twenty percent lioness, and he considered it his mission to make her roar."

Okay, I admit, not French's best line. "Make her roar" sounded so cliché and tacky to me. But still. This described Sophie perfectly. She was all sweet and gentle on the outside, but deep inside she was like a ticking time-bomb, ready to break out of her comfort zone.

Lucien Knight. How does one begin to describe Lucien Knight?

Should I start by saying how he's a freaking billionaire? Or the fact that he works in the sex industry? Or maybe the fact that he took Sophie during their week together to freaking Norway? Maybe I should talk about how he's amazing in bed?

In the end?

Really, though, he is so fucking shmexy.

"Sex is natural and fucking beautiful. Now, forget everything else, and Get. On. That. Bed."

*readily jumps to the bed*

But he can also be a sweet asshole, which is so UNFAIR! How can you be this whole perfect package!

"Don't lie to yourself because you feel guilty, Sophie. He's cheating and you deserve better. You deserve to be adored, and you deserve to be fucked until you can't stand up."

SWEET MAMA. Someone take me now. And this is Sophie's description of Lucien.

"He was the most enigmatic man she'd ever met. On the one hand, he was a Thor-like sex warrior, perfectly at home slinking around the debaucherous outposts of his commercial empire, and on the other hand, he was a man who craved his solitude and privacy and loved this rare and extraordinary setting. It was a heady combination, and it left Sophie wanting very much to know the roots of this man who existed between two extremes."

To sum it all up, this was an amazing erotica. Beautifully and filthily written, lots of great sex, super hot guy, great read.

Minor Faults:

• Sophie got irrational in the end. She was like super bipolar, jumping from one emotion to another.
• THEY HAVE TOO MUCH SEX. It's sexy but then, it's like, can you get your hormones under control?

[Review] Good - S. Walden

Cadence Miller is a good girl. She just happens to make one terrible mistake her junior year in high school which costs her ten months in juvenile detention. Now a senior, she's lost everything: her best friend, the trust of her parents, driving privileges, Internet access. It's a lonely existence.

But there is one bright spot: Mark Connelly, her very cute, very off-limits 28-year-old calculus teacher. She falls hard for him – a ridiculous schoolgirl crush headed nowhere. She can't help it. He's the only good thing at Crestview High. She doesn't expect him to reciprocate her feelings. How inappropriate, right? But he does. And he shows her.

And that's when her life goes from bad to good.

"Cadence, you cannot be so naïve as to think that love is never gonna hurt or that relationships are always good all the time."

YES YES YES!!! FINALLY! I have found it!!! I have succeeded in finding another excellent student-teacher romance which doesn't suck. OHMYGOD!!!

Good is a somewhat forbidden romantic story that will pull – no, drag – you into it and let you drown in it. But you'll be enjoying the suffering every step of the way. Not only is the romance absolutely swoon-worthy but the addition of witty remarks and the fantastic characters just makes it all the better.

When I first saw this, I honestly might or might not have laughed at the title because Good, really? Good is the best thing someone can come up with? I'm sorry if that sounds rude but that's just such an odd book title.

Well then, I think S. Walden can slap me in the face because I LOVED IT! I loved loved LOVED the book so much! The romance was passionate and exciting, especially at the risk of getting caught ;) The characters were freaking AWESOME! I adored Cadence and how she could handle all the bullies and the insults and just make the best of things. And then there's Mark *deep, deep sigh* He was just such a sweetheart.

Let's start off with Cadence. She had five rules when she started school:

1. Do not cry under any circumstances
2. Do not physically attack anyone (even if they totally deserve it)
3. Smile and act like nothing bothers you
4. Try to exude Christian virtues like patience, love, and forgiveness
5. When all else fails, use sarcasm as your defense mechanism

Now, I just fell in love with her here because that was it! She was just wow. I mean, after being sent to juvie for a while, she knew that she had to be strong and tough, act as if everything is okay, yet her sense of humor is still intact. Rule number 5 appeals especially to me.

But since this is Cadence's first relationship, she also has trust issues, especially with the way she was brought up (very Christian).

AND THEN THERE'S SWEETIE MARK CONNELLY. He was just so adorable throughout the whole book. He was sweet, even though he had those douchey moments he totally regretted.

"I must confess that when you look sad, it compels me to act. I'm not sure it would be ethical to change a grade over tears, but if anyone could do it, you would be the one."

Oh, and he brought her Mexican food, without her asking and saying that that it was from her father, who in fact hates Mexican food.

I smiled at him. "You really are a nice guy."
His face lit up. "Yeah?"

SUCH A CUTIE!

Then their romance can be cute:

"You don't mind feeding me again?" I asked.
"Cadence, I don't mind doing anything for you."

Super smoking!

"No, Cadence, my name is Mark Connelly. And I'm about to give you the most explosive orgasm of your life."

KILL–ME–NOW–TOO–SWEET!!!

And then he cradled me on his lap, fed me, stroked my hair, and told me all of his plans. And every single one included me.

PLUS! I also liked Avery because she's cool and she says cool things

"Life is unfair, okay? You've gotta deal with it. Girls can't get away with the kind of shit guys can."

The feminist in me is screaming with joy because this is so fucking true most of the time.

Avery: "Let them play outside with no fence, and they'll stay near you. Put up a fence, and they're smashed up agains tit, trying to get you out."
Cadence: "Hmm. Maybe it's just human nature to be defiant. We don't wanna be hemmed in by rules. We want to make our own decisions."

A few other quotes I like:

"It doesn't make me a bad person because I have sex outside of marriage?" – Cadence

AND THAT WAS ONE OF THEM! Sex outside of marriage doesn't make you a bad person okay. People judge and just call you out on it but then

Shit, man, look at all those people who get away with rape and shit, but when someone has sex outside of marriage, BAM! Labeled as a slut. It's such a stupid, stereotypical thing.

There's also Fanny, a uber-cool woman!

"But once you declare your love for that other person, and vice versa, the real work begins. because butterflies don't last forever. […] And that's when love shifts from a feeling to a choice."

Well, if I go on any longer, that would just spoil the whole thing. SO GET THE BOOK AND ENJOY IT! Ms. Walden, as I promised, it was a fun review ;)

[Review] Down London Road - Samantha Young

Have I ever mentioned how much I bloody-motherfucking-adore Samantha Young's books? I swear, I end up giving all her books at least 5-6 apples/stars. THEY ARE DAMN GOOD OKAY and you guys should totally read them too!

Down London Road blew me away like On Dublin Street did. It was the perfect concoction of mind-blowing, passionate romance, the bewitching, absolutely lovely characters and an awesome plot (mixture of shmexy sex and heart-breaking scenes).

 Okay, let's start with Jo. Fuck, okay, I didn't really like Jo in On Dublin Street, because well, Jo wanted Braden at first but I was so fucking glad that they didn't make her the bitch there because I would've probably been pissed with this book. And here, we see how big her heart is with her concern for her brother. She really does care about the people around her, even her mom who treats her like shit.

Even Cam just admires her okay.

"I've never met anyone as quietly brave and strong as you. I've never met a woman so unassuming, so kind, and so selfless. You are a complex lady. And you are smart, passionate, and funny, and exciting, and you blow me fucking away."

 AAAH!!!

I know, it's so freaking weird for me to fangirl over a girl so much but God, Jo is honestly one of the top heroines I've ever come across and I absolutely love her. She's just so beautiful and talented and strong. She's a lady I can really label as my role model.

But then she's scared of commitment. Well, not really. She's not scared to commit if it's to help Cole but when it comes to Cam? She's freaking terrified shitless. She thinks that she's losing all of her control and making brash decisions.

AND CAM SWEET JESUS HE STARTED OUT AS SUCH AN" ASSHOLE.

Cam: "Or sexting Malcolm – also known as the cash point."

Jo: "Has anyone ever told you, you are the most despicable, judgmental, self-righteous, obnoxious fucktwit that ever existed?"

Oh man, you'd think he'd stop there? Nu-uh.

Cam: "Careful, sweetheart. You'll use up your entire calendar of words in a night if you keep this up."

Jo: [closes eyes]

Cam: "A heads-up so you're not too disappointed that Disney lied – no matter how much you wish it, I'll still be here when you open your eyes."

Man, he was such a fucking prick when they first met. SO IMAGINE HIS FACE WHEN HE FOUND OUT THAT COLE IS HER BROTHER NOT HER AFFAIR PARTNER. Fuck, I would've paid to see that shit go down in real life.

But then Cam becomes this sweet freaking asshole and I just wanna grab his face and kiss him!

"What I feel for you… it's all-consuming. It's almost debilitating. It's too much. It's… I can't even describe it, but being with you is… there's this intensity inside me all the time, this… constant pull, desperation… it's like you're branded on me or something. And it bloody well burns."

Can he go back to being an asshole so I can stop hoping that someone like him will come around?

AND OF COURSE! We also get the awesome Braden and Joss here too, along with Adam and Ellie, as well as the adorkable Cole!
