REVIEW: Castle Hill – Samantha Young

Released: December 3rd, 2013

A Joss and Braden Novella

Braden Carmichael never imagined he’d fall as hard and as fast as he did for Jocelyn Butler. He also could not have anticipated how difficult it would be to convince her to give in to love. But now that he has her, he’s never letting go. He’s got it all planned—the passionate proposal, the dream wedding, the sexy Hawaiian honeymoon—even the perfect family they’ll start.

After trying to flee from her painful past, Joss is finally allowing herself to embrace the future. But when things start moving faster than she anticipated, she finds herself panicking over something Braden can’t understand. After everything they’ve been through, Joss is sure that their love can survive even her worst fears. But, this time, she may push Braden too far—and risk losing everything all over again…
"The good you two will have together will always outweigh the bad."
THEY'RE BACK HOLY SHIT!!! No question, Braden and Joss have always been my favorite couple in the On Dublin Street series, so when I heard about this novella? I literally screamed, probably deafening everyone around me. But, damn, this book didn't disappoint. The witty, sarcastic remarks were still there. The steamy hot sex was all detailed in the book. The to-die-for romance was still making me jealous. Definitely did not disappoint.

Braden and Joss have the type of relationship that I really want to have in the future. Not only are they best friends who joke around with each other, but they still have super hot sex in bed. Or in any other place for that matter.

And Braden *deep, dreamy sigh* I've always loved this caveman.
We didn't have "sides of the bed". Braden was a cuddler – he insisted we didn't need sides.
Man oh man, what I'd do to have that man cuddle with me.

And the drama/conflict in the story wasn't one of those "what the fuck" kind of things. It was actually realistic considering Joss' condition. It was heart-breaking but, as usual, they always, always make up in the end (sex is optional).

Braden is always there for Joss. He's there to support her through all her panic attacks and her freak-outs.
So no fears for the future, no fear that you'll fuck it up beyond repair. Life isn't perfect, we aren't perfect, but I'm telling you now, Joss, we're indestructible.
How can you not fall for a man like that?

But of course, Braden is still the sexy, crude man we all have come to know and love.

“Grounds for divorce?” I teased as we showed our boarding passes to an airline attendant at the lounge doors.
“Grounds for marathon fucking,” he answered dryly.

Fucking excellent book!
