BLOG TOUR: Love Show – Audrey Bell + Review & giveaway!

Released: January 1st, 2014

Hadley Arrington is the career-driven editor-in-chief of her university’s prestigious newspaper. Jack Diamond is a laidback student whose good looks have made things even easier than they need to be. She’s the girl who came out of nowhere and kissed him in the rain. He’s the boy who made her do something crazy.

When the stakes seem too high, they have to decide if they’ll let their love show or if they’ll walk away for good.

"When you lose someone important, not everything makes sense. Being angry was easier than being hurt. Being alone was easier than letting people get to close."

Sweet, funny, exhilarating, heart-breaking. The characters were so beautifully written and developed. Strong personalities. Strong conflicts. Strong desires. This book surprised me more than it disappointed me. The storyline unraveled wonderfully bit by bit throughout the whole book.

I loved it! When I first saw this book, I was reading the blurb and thought, "HEY! Probably another bad boy - nice girl romance. My type!" Boy was I wrong. I thought the whole story was going to be about the chase. And it was. But it was more. It was about the facing of fears and the development of characters and their feelings and emotions.

Hadley's character was shockingly likable despite her stubbornness. I usually hate those uptight, snooty girls who are too firm about rules but not Hadley. I liked her dedication and her commitment to her work and career. She worked hard for what she wanted and didn't give a shit if she looked like crap.

Her reactions were fairly normal and I could still put myself in her shoes. Meaning, her reactions were rational. Ugh, I love some of her lines though.
"We act like love is this uncontrollable thing. But when it comes to hate and anger all of that ugly stuff we're supposedly able to handle that. We're supposed to handle it without hurting anyone. But throw out the word love and everyone thinks all of the rules should go right out the window and who can help it if someone gets hurt? It's absurd and it's degrading, honestly, that we expect people to control themselves except for when it comes to wanting to sleep with someone."

A REALIST! I love it!

When she's with Jack, she's a whole other person. I like that. Maybe this was because, with Jack, she could let loose a little bit. Flirt. Fuck. Fun. She liked that other side of her with Jack.

“I’m a little bit of a disaster, Hadley.”
“Then, you’re my favorite disaster, Jack.”
Too cute!

Jack. Jack Diamond. This guy I would want for my best friend, boyfriend, husband, everything! He is the most adorable fucker. He was so determined and tenacious with Hadley.
"I'm going to swing by," he said adamantly. "We can hang out. That's a good idea. No dinner. Anti-date date."
AND UGHHH, HE'S SO CUTE WHEN HE JOKES AROUND.

“We have class tomorrow.”
“Does that mean you turn into a pumpkin at midnight? Vampire? Or, no, werewolf. Tonight’s supposed to be a full moon. Can I come in? Nice place.”
So. Cute.

I can go on and on about him but that would take forever. Nevertheless, such a great read! Definitely recommended.
