Candace Tapers' life finally takes an upward swing when Nathan Dumont, shipping heir and notorious playboy, sweeps her away to a lifestyle of wealth and privilege. But that life comes with strings, and she is soon pulled in directions she never expected, discovering secrets and ulterior motives in the man who shares her bed.
*The Dumont Diaries was originally released a four-part miniseries. This book combines the four pieces of the miniseries into one, full-length novel. It will be available as an ebook and a paperback book.

"Security is a strange thing, a myth that the brain allows in exchange for a brief moment of piece."Alessandra Torre never ceases to amaze me. Her books are always surprisingly refreshing and sexy as hell. The Dumont Diaries was twisted and complex, but also unbelievably heart-racing and exciting with both the sex and the suspense.
I am so glad I decided to sign up for this blog tour because WOW. JUST WOW. I loved Torre's previous works such as Blindfolded Innocence (Review) and The Girl in 6E (Review). I like how, initially the book sounds like your typical average romance but then BAM! There's this plot twist that just throws all my disappointment out the window.
Let's just have a round of applause for her first.
Candace is a cool chick honestly. She's independent and she's raising money to help her dad. She's really tough and I like how she makes deals with Nathan when she realizes that she's clearly in control. The feminist in me is screaming with joy. But Candace's debts are piling up so she's excited when there's a man who's interested in her and he has the money.
"But this is the first time I've been attracted to a patron. I don't know if it's the mystery, the money, the perfect features, or the cock, but I want him."As you can see, Torre doesn't mind being crude, which is what I like about her honest books.
But she always downgrades herself. It's not the whiny kind, which I am undeniably grateful for.
"I'm the girl who spends that spare dollar on a candy bar instead. I don't deserve love."She thinks that she is so freaking selfish when in reality, what she's doing for Nathan is a freaking huge favor.
Ah, yes, then there's Nathan Dumont.
God, I hated him so much. I LOATHED HIM. Two words to describe him: Control freak.
"Control. It is a food that Nathan feeds on, devours with a vulgarity that clashes with his smooth exterior. He wants to control me, and he wants an audience – an audience that he controls in the process."Uh, freaky much?
But then we see sweeter sides of Nathan when he's faking it around Candace. Though, that's why it's so hard to differentiate whether he's being genuinely nice or a genuine prick.
And then Candace falls for him but Nathan has other plans and AAAAAH!!!!
My lips remain sealed.
Anyways, the book was an absolutely fantastic read! I am so glad I didn't rush this book so I got to enjoy every bit of it ;)
- THE ENDING. WHY IS IT SO FAST. NO DEVELOPMENT.
4 SUPER SHMEXY APPLES!!!!!
